Hutchison Ports Ajman is a port operator and logistics services provider situated on the Arabian Gulf, just 25 kilometres from Dubai and 10 kilometres from Sharjah. We operate the Port of Ajman under the guidance and supervision of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.
Results
Ajman port has dedicated food testing laboratory that works from 8Am to 4PM every day. Consumes about 25KW of power supply mainly the lab equipment, cooling units, computers and cameras. Site has abundant roof space. Magnizon did the structural analysis and did modifications to the roof and installed additional support purlins and water proofing system and installed 96nos of 260Wp.
Since the load working only during day time, we proposed the On-grid solar system with smart grid interactive mechanism that allows Solar system to generate the power based on the load. As Ajman grid doesn’t have the reverse feeding grid system yet, If no load (mostly during week ends) Solar power plants produces zero energy so there is no power going back to the Ajman grid.
Magnizon OG series smart on-grid inverter comes with IP65 rated design, builtin Bluetooth and wifi modules to enable remote monitoring of the entire power system via iOS/Android/Web based applications.
Entire food testing laboratory is now working with pure solar energy with almost negligible dependency on national grid.
